Stone Water Grill is one of my favourite restaurants in Pune for several reasons\: the food is always outstanding and the place both inside and outside, by the river, enchanting. The much-awaited new menu is an alchemy of flavours with new items cooked on a gueridon trolley at your table, a charcoal grill and a wood-fired pizza oven. I urge you to try the new Truffle Risotto with spiced chocolate ice cream, the Watermelon Heart and Marinated Feta Stack with a dusting of mint and black salt and the Gorgonzola Soufflé. The Bacon-Wrapped Wood-Fired Quail served with a fruit chutney, the Smoked Salmon with Fresh Bocconcini, and the Pan-Fried Stuffed Calamari are the new dishes to try. New soups include a Madras Curry-Infused Lobster Bisque and a Hot and Cold Asparagus Soup. Try the Roasted Beet Carpaccio, the Jalapeño Cream Penne, the Carbonara-inspired Smoked Bacon Risotto, the Smoked Tomato and Mascarpone, the Fillet Mignon with a pepper sauce and green pea wasabi foam, and the Slow-Braised Rabbit and Dark Chocolate. Vegetarians have a huge choice and pescatarians must try the Himalayan Trout and the Vermicelli-Crusted Basa with Bhavnagiri Chilli Cream. Desserts include the new Molten Chocolate with Black Currant Ice Cream and the Porcini Panacotta with Basil and White Wine Gastrique.
