Prego is undoubtedly one of the finest restaurants in the city With beautifully appointed rooms, excellent ambiance for a quiet meal, service that is gracious, discreet and the finest quality food combined with a unique menu. The Wine cellar has 240 wines including the top 5 most popular grand chateaus. The red and white crockery laid out is stylish and exotic typical of France, and the silverware is from Italy's Sambornet, the exclusive silverware series. Glassware is the German schottswizel. There is a wine tasting facility that is offered in the wine cellar where you can pair up your choice of wine with the menu you have selected. There is a well appointed private dining area for up to 10 people, and seating alongside glass windows that overlook the pool. On one side is a live kitchen. Special events and candle light dinners, Sunday Brunch at reasonable rates with unlimited champagne and a business lunch on weekdays. The fresh fig soaking in a gorgonzola cheese sauce is simply divine\! The Nanza or olive naan with green olives parmesan and jalapenos is light, warm and delicious. The Octopus Fried Anchovies and Squid Salad is mild, bland actually, and flavoured with sea salt and pepper and pesto. The Duo of Soup Cabbage Cappuccino and Beetroot Cappuccino is outstanding. The Ragotoni Pasta with duck ragu and foie gras with the goose liver just melts in your mouth. The Fettuccini Sicilian style with sun dried tomatoes was perfect.The Orange and Rosemary Sorbet is like eating a frozen fresh orange chilled to perfection. The Stuffed Chicken with Polenta and Mozzarella Cheese, Sicilian Black Rice with Ricotta Cheese and aubergine parcels are worth mentioning too. The dessert of Nutella Crêpes with peanuts was chocolaty and crunchy at the same time and the Lo Baliogne of candied Strawberries with zabaglione is a warm dessert which is simply divine\!
