The decor at Kababs \& Kurries, the erstwhile Peshawari at the ITC Kakatiya, gives an earthy feel with its pale stone-finished walls and contrasting hues of warm colours. The bead curtains and Persian rugs give the restaurant a rustic yet rich feel. As for the food, with such a quintessential Indian name, the cuisines on offer are, of course, Indian, serving North-West Frontier and Hyderabadi. They have a long list of kebabs. While chicken kebabs like Murgh Malai and Murgh Anghar are outstanding, lamb kebabs like Kakori Kebab, Charminar Kebab and Barrah Kebab are soft and delicious. The Tali Machhli is also quite nice. Chicken curries include Murgh Qorma and Murgh Bemisal, which is boneless smoked chicken in tomato-based gravy. Lamb curries are Gohst Nazbu and Do Piyaza Gohst. The list of Indian breads is extensive\: Warqi Paratha, Whole Wheat Paratha, Tandoori Roti, Butter Naan and Plain Naan. For lunch, they also have an Executive Platter at Rs.850 plus taxes. But mind you, the same platter will cost almost double at dinner time. The service is efficient and courteous. Agreat place to have a great Indian meal. However, the prices as expected are sky-high.
