Ente Kerelam has got a fabulous location at MRC Nagar where the Adyar river meets the sea. It offers the different cuisines of the coastal areas of the South Indian peninsula. It's but natural that you start with a Ente Kerelam Sherbet that is pink and sweet. There are tiny tidbits of starters from the same area, that is Chettinadu, such as the Kuripaniyaram, vadais, ovalshaped shark fish cutlets and Banana Fritters that are tongue twistingly delicious with the wide selection of chutneys that they serve; so stick to Tamil Nadu if you are here for the first time. Do try the Curry Meen Pollichathu, and Kanebesule. Or you can try the King's Platter where you can have the whole of the South served to you on a silver tray. On the other hand, the Goan dishes are spot on, the Prawn Balchao for instance, the duck from Kuttanad and the Telengana Lamb Curry. The Bebinca, Goan-style dessert, is very satisfying, while the sweet dishes and payasams reproduce some of the old favourites from Ente Keralam.
