Easy to prepare, crispy bites made with sesame and jaggery to melt your heart away.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sesame

    3/4 cup sticky jaggery

Method

Heat sesame on low fire, stirring continuously. stir slowly so that it does not splutter and fall out of the pan.

Let it cool for a while & then pound it.

Heat jaggery in 1/2 cup water, until it forms a thick syrup. Test its consistency by putting a drop of it in cold water- it should remain firm.

Add roasted sesame to the syrup.

Grease a board and spread the sesame-jaggery mixture over it.

Roll flat this batter to make it 1 cm thick.

After it is sufficiently cooled and hardens, cut it into squares.

Store in a container lined with butter paper.
