Ingredients

  • 3-4 tbsp oil

    1/2 kg mutton (with bones)

    2 daikon radish, julienne

    2 carrots, julienne

    2 onions, julienne

    2-3 tsp strong dried cheese

    1 pkt of egg noodles

    1 tsp ginger, finely sliced

    1/2 tsp whole black pepper

    A jug of water

    Salt to taste

    A handful of coriander, roughly chopped

Method

Season the meat with salt. Heat the oil in a deep vessel, sear the meat on both sides and remove.

In the same vessel, saute the onions till soft. Add the meat, water and all the vegetables.

Sprinkle the dried cheese, pepper and more salt if required.

Add the coriander, cover and let it simmer for 2 hours or till the meat is tender.

Then gently place the noodles on top and cook for a few more minutes.

Serve hot.
