Mexican Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup basmati rice

    4 cloves garlic

    2 capsicums

    2 onions

    2 tomatoes, pureed

    2 Tbsp butter/ghee

    2 Tbsp oil

    1 cup cabbage

    2 tsp soya sauce

    2 tsp vinegar

    3 green chillies

    1/2 tsp red chilli powder

    Salt to taste.

Method

Fry the washed rice, then add water and cook it.

In another vessel heat oil, fry onion add garlic till they become golden brown. Fry cabbage and capsicum in the same oil.

Add tomatoes,soya sauce,salt and green chilli, red chilli and fry for about 2 minutes.

 Add vinegar and mix well with rice. Let it cook for about 15 minutes.

Serve it hot.
