Ingredients

  • 2 ripe peaches (optionally peeled)

    2 Tbsp butter

    1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup bourbon (optional dark rum I use old monk works as wonderfully)

    1/2 tsp cinnamon

    Pinch of salt

Optional topping - whipped cream or vanilla ice cream

Method

Peel the peaches if you like (easier to eat eventually) and remove the pit in the center.

Put your regular grill skillet to heat up on the stove and in the mean time combine the butter, brown sugar, bourbon, cinnamon and salt in a heavy bottom pan.

Heat the liquid mix till you can't see the sugar granules. Pour this sinful syrup in a small pitcher and keep aside.

Grill the peaches on a hot oiled grill. I recommend olive oil since it doesn't exude any flavor and is healthy for you. Let the peaches sit on grill till you get scored lines on the flesh.

Serving suggestions: Vanilla ice cream / Chantilly cream topped with grilled peaches and generously submerge with the bourbon butter sauce.

For the added desert lover: Toasted almonds would provide the ideal crunch to go along with the sweet peach and sinful sauce.
