Ingredients

  • 1 kg Chicken

    1 tsp Turmeric powder

    1 tsp Chili powder

    Salt to taste

    1 Tbsp Oil

    10-12 Cloves

    1 Cinnamon stick

    1 Tbsp Black pepper corns

    1 Tbsp Cumin seeds

    1 Tbsp Coriander seeds

    1 tsp Ginger

    1 tsp Garlic

    5 Green chillies

    10-12 Curry leaves

    1 cup Grated coconut

    1 tsp Mustard seeds

    1 tsp Fenugreek seeds

    4 Guntur chili

    1 medium onion, julienne

    1 cup Tomatoes (chopped)

    2-3 tsp Tamarind extracts

Method

For quick marination

In chicken pieces add turmeric, chili powder, salt and oil for binding

For dry roasting

In a pan add cloves, cinnamon, 1 tbsp. pepper corns, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, ginger , garlic, 5 green chilies, curry leaves, grated coconut and salt

Grind them all at silvatta.

In a pan add oil and marinated chicken pieces

In another pan heat oil

Add mustard seeds, fenugreek, Guntur chilly

After stirring it well add julianne onions

Add the masala paste to the onions and then add some water

After that add tomatoes, little sugar and salt for balancing

Now add tamarind extract to the masala

Now add chicken pieces to masala and then add water

Cover it with a lid

Let the water thicken

Now open the lid and keep it for 15 minutes on flame

Serve hot
