Ingredients of Chapala Vepudu

  • 1 Sear fish
  • For the masala:
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Rice flour
  • 1 tsp Corn flour
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • For the main preparation:
  • 1 Tbsp Refined oil
  • 1 tsp Green chillies
  • Few Curry leaves
  • 2 tsp Onions, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Lime juice

How to Make Chapala Vepudu

Prepare the masala:

1.
Mix salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, rice flour, corn flour, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder and lemon juice together.

Main preparation:

Clean the fish and slice it into 3 pieces.
2.
Marinate the fish with the masala and leave for about 1 hour.

Now deep fry the fish till cooked and keep it aside.
4.
Heat oil in pan. Add curry leaves, green chillies and chopped onions.
5.
Saute till the onions become translucent.
6.
Then add coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder lime juice and the prepared fish.
7.
Toss the fish for sometime.
8.
Serve with a dash of lemon juice on top.
